Specialist nutrition support for people with disability

We provide person-centred, evidence-informed dietetic services designed specifically for NDIS participants. Our goal is to improve health, wellbeing, independence, and quality of life by delivering nutrition care that is tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences, and goals.

We understand that food is more than fuel — it’s part of daily life, social connection, culture, and independence. That’s why our approach goes beyond diet plans. We work closely with participants, families, support workers, and other professionals to create practical, achievable nutrition solutions that make a real difference every day.

Our approach

We believe that nutrition support should be as individual as the person receiving it.

Our services are built around:

  • Person-centred care: We focus on the person’s unique goals, preferences, cultural background, and daily routines.
  • Evidence-based practice: Our recommendations are grounded in the latest nutrition science and tailored to the needs of people with disability.
  • Practical strategies: We offer real-world, achievable recommendations that work within the person’s support environment.
  • Collaboration: We work with families, support workers, other allied health professionals and providers to ensure consistent, coordinated care.
  • Capacity building and independence: We help people build skills and confidence around food, mealtimes, and nutrition-related decisions.

What We Do

We provide a range of specialist dietetic services under the NDIS, including:

Nutrition Assessment and Care Planning

We conduct comprehensive assessments to understand nutritional needs, health conditions, sensory preferences, mealtime challenges, and lifestyle factors. From there, we develop tailored nutrition care recommendations that support health, wellbeing, and participation.

Feeding and Mealtime Support

We work with children and adults who experience challenges with feeding — including sensory differences, restricted diets, chewing or swallowing difficulties, and mealtime anxiety. Our support focuses on building safe, enjoyable, and positive mealtime experiences at home and school environments.

Enteral (Tube) Feeding Support

We support participants who receive nutrition through a PEG or other feeding tube, ensuring their nutrition plans are safe, balanced, and meet their changing needs. We collaborate with families and support teams to ensure mealtimes are safe, manageable, and positive, while promoting comfort, confidence, and ongoing support throughout the tube-feeding journey.

Nutrition for Complex Needs

Our Dietitians provide comprehensive nutrition support tailored to each person’s unique needs. We assist with general nutrition, weight management, malnutrition, swallowing difficulties, gastrointestinal issues, hydration, wound healing, and nutrient deficiencies. We also support growth and developmental concerns, feeding differences such as fussy eating, Paediatric Feeding Disorder, and ARFID, and provide guidance for enteral tube feeding (NGT/PEG/PEJ) and oral nutrition supplements. In addition, we help manage the nutritional impact of medications to promote safe, effective, and sustainable health outcomes.

What Makes Us Different

  • Disability-specialist focus: Our team works exclusively with people with disability and understands the unique challenges and opportunities of this support..
  • NDIS experience: We know how to align nutrition care with NDIS goals and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborative care: We work closely with families, support workers, schools, and other allied health professionals to ensure consistent support.
  • Skill development approach: We focus on building skills around food, nutrition, and mealtimes to promote independence and participation.
  • Practical and sustainable plans: Our strategies are designed to work in real life — in homes, schools, and supported living settings — not just on paper.

Who We Support

Every individual’s nutrition journey is different — and with the right support, change is possible.

We support children and adults with a wide range of disabilities and nutrition-related needs, including:

  • Neurodivergent and sensory-related feeding challenges, including ARFID and restricted eating patterns.
  • Developmental delay and feeding skill difficulties
  • Tube feeding (PEG or nasogastric)
  • Gastrointestinal conditions and chronic health needs
  • Weight management and metabolic conditions
  • Neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), and Cerebral Palsy

Our Dietitians provide care across home, school, community, and supported living environments to ensure nutrition support is consistent, evidence-based, and tailored to each person’s needs.

What This Can Look Like in Practice

Every individual’s nutrition journey is different — and with the right support, change is possible.

For example, a young child we supported was eating fewer than five foods, refusing most textures, and experiencing daily mealtime meltdowns. Mealtimes had become stressful for the whole family, and the child’s growth was falling behind.

We began by exploring the underlying factors — including sensory preferences, oral motor challenges, and mealtime routines. We also reviewed the child’s overall nutrition, assessing for possible nutrient deficiencies, bowel patterns, and hydration levels. From there, we worked to optimise their diet in line with sensory preferences and feeding abilities. Over time, the child gradually accepted a wider range of foods that aligned with their preferred textures, smells, and appearances, resulting in calmer, more positive mealtimes. Most importantly, the family gained confidence and practical strategies they could use every day.

This is what our dietetic support is about — not just improving nutrition, but helping people build positive relationships with food, supporting growth and health, and creating mealtimes that truly work for everyone.
